How to Use - Stick
Simply push up the amount needed. Apply to the affected area and cap the rest. No messy hands to deal with.
* Before training to help warm up muscles, tendons, joints and ligaments. Lightly massage into the target areas.
* After training lightly massage into target areas to increase circulation, reduce bruising/swelling, and begin the body's healing and recovery process.
* Between training sessions massage into areas experiencing nagging aches and pains. Apply warm heat or cool pack for deeper penetration.

Battle Balm® grew out of the quest by Dylan Jawaher L.Ac., L.M.T., to learn about historical Chinese herbal formulas, known as dit da jow, that martial artists had used for centuries to treat pain as well as bruises, ligament damage, muscle strains, fractures, and other soft tissue injuries. Dylan was searching for a better way to help trauma patients at his medical practice.

As he compared the ancient formulas to the topical analgesics being used, it became clear that the topical pain relievers were mainly neutralizing pain receptors, but not doing much to facilitate or encourage the body's natural healing process. So he began to create his own formula, informed by dit da jow, using the finest grade of natural ingredients he could find.

The early formula went through many iterations of testing and refining. As the product evolved, so did Dylan’s clientele. He began seeing more car accident clients, post-surgery patients, and many more athletic injuries. As he learned more he began having success treating injury and trauma conditions using his formula together with acupuncture, tui na massage, and herbal medicine. It was when a few martial artists started inquiring about a stronger version of Dylan’s balm that he began developing the formula that would become Battle Balm®.
