RockTape grew out of its founders’ experiences with (mostly) minor injuries from running, cycling, and swimming that required physical therapy and the use of tape. This sparked an interest in tape and ways it might be improved. While carrying out research they discovered that tape could be used to enhance performance – that taping before exercising promoted increased blood flow to the muscles, reducing fatigue. With that knowledge, and despite some obstacles, they were able to locate a source, develop an improved formula, and start RockTape.
