Course Overview
Increase your understanding about sexuality and sexual dysfunction looking through the lens of western and eastern medicine. If you are treating infertility patients or just want more information, this course will help you understand and treat sexual issues as well as learn to speak with your patients about this sensitive subject. In addition, this course will educate you about who to refer to.

We will cover sexual anatomy, mechanisms of desire and arousal, and the sexual response cycle as well as look at the TCM understanding of sexuality, including some taoist practices. Included will be a deep dive into four of the eight-extraordinary vessels and how they apply to sexual trauma. We will go over TCM treatment and herbal medicine research of low libido for both female and males as well as the conditions of male sexual dysfunction: premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, delayed ejaculation and female sexual dysfunction: vulvodynia, lichen sclerosus, vaginismus, and dyspareunia.
Objective

    About Denise Wiesner

    Denise Wiesner L.Ac., Dipl. She is the author of the book, Conceiving With Love, A Whole-body Approach to Creating Intimacy, Reigniting Passion and Increasing Fertility. She has a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Kinesiology (UCLA), an Master of Arts in traditional Chinese medicine (Emperor's College), and is a certified sex coach. She is board-certified by the State of California and the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM), and a charter member of the Fertile Soul: Clinical Excellence in Fertility program. Denise teaches professional seminars to medical doctors, OB/GYNs, and nurse midwives on the application of Chinese medicine in obstetrics and gynecology and has published articles on acupuncture and infertility.. In addition to a thriving private practice, Denise lectures at conferences, works closely with reproductive endocrinologists , and is a professor in the doctoral program in Chinese Medicine, Fertility, and Women’s Health at Yo San University. Denise enjoys leading groups for individuals and couples to help their fertility journey incorporating breath, meditation, and education. In her spare time, she relishes practicing yoga, dancing, and playing guitar. She loves to travel and hang out with her two sons, Noah and Ethan.
