This version of the formula was widely used during the Song dynasty and was originally developed during the Han dynasty to treat accumulation of phlegm. Er Chen Tang is traditionally used to treat excess phlegm accumulation by dissolving phlegm, drying dampness, regulating qi, and harmonizing the middle jiao. Available in 100g granule bottles.

In this formula, Pinellia Rhizome descends stomach qi and reduces distention, while Citrus Peel activates middle jiao qi and revives the spleen. Both chief ingredients dry dampness and help with excessively moist phlegm.
