Dahuang Zhechong Wan by Classical Pearls is an ancient remedy famous for combining “Blood cracking” medicinal insects and a variety of bitter roots and seeds with a heat clearing and moisturizing effect. First appearing in Zhang Zhongjing’s classic formula compendium, Essentials from the Golden Cabinet (Jingui yaolüe), this highly complex formula is designed to cool and moisturize the Heart and Kidney while reversing longstanding and potentially life-threatening microcirculation issues referred to as “dry Blood” obstruction (ganxue).
