This 2000-year-old formula was developed by the renowned Han dynasty physician Zhang Zhongjing. Li Zhong Tang is used to treat deficiency in the spleen yang, cold in the stomach and small intestine, and deficiency in the middle burner yang by bringing warmth to the spleen and stomach, dispelling cold, tonifying the qi, and fortifying the spleen.
