In this formula, Ginseng tonifies qi and strengthens spleen and stomach. White Atractylodes and Hoelen both dry dampness and strengthen the spleen. Baked Licorice harmonizes the middle jiao by warming and strengthening it. Citrus Peel dries dampness, tonifies the spleen, and circulates qi. Pinellia Rhizome dries dampness, harmonizes stomach, and transforms phlegm.
