Course Overview
Cancer can be an overwhelming diagnosis for our patients. Approaching such a diagnosis can be overwhelming for a practitioner as well. Throughout her forty years of practice, Sharon Weizenbaum has seen hundreds of patients diagnosed with various cancers. Through the lens of Shang Han Lun physiology, she has found Chinese herbal formulas tremendously helpful and sometimes life-saving.

In this weekend seminar, Sharon will share her experience and approach to working with patients diagnosed with cancer. Because there are many types of cancer and many types of patients with this diagnosis, there is not a single protocol or method. However, we can look at some common characteristics of cancer to gain a basic and effective approach with our herbal formulas.

Sharon will begin with a fundamental way of viewing cancer and patients with cancer that will help practitioners to create focused intention in diagnosis and treatment.

Sharon will then go through each of the six warps (conformations) to show how restoring the correct function of the warp can help shift the pathology. She will illustrate this through cases from her own practice, explaining her diagnostic process and treatment method. She will also discuss some highly effective methods for helping patients through the side effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery.
Objective
  • To understand how the six conformations relate to the manifestations of cancer.
  • To understand the six conformations as great sweeping motions.
  • To learn how to apply six conformation diagnosis and treatment for the many issues cancer patients bring to our clinics.
  • To give students tools to help their patients with the issues that come up with chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.

    *CEU/CPD Approvals

Some accreditation bodies have course approval expirations. If the approval expires, you will see a notice next to the name with a date of expiration: "[Until YYYY/MM/DD]". Please factor this date into your own renewal deadline. If an approval expires, you will be able to request that it is renewed and we will submit it for you within 2 business days. Renewals normally come back to us after 30 days. If your accreditation body is not listed under the "Approved" section, you may find it under the "Pending" section. That means that it is either currently pending approval, or that it is available for you to request: "[Upon Request]". New course approvals usually come back to us after 45 days. We use an automated system within our platform that allows you to make these requests in an easy and convenient way. Just visit the course page in your Net of Knowledge account and click the "Request Approval" button at the top. Each "Course and CEUs/CPDs" purchase grants you 1 request per accreditation body. If you request a course approval and do not complete it before its new expiration date, you will need to purchase another "CEU/CPD Add-On" to make another request. If the course is ineligible for approval with an accreditation body due to their subject-matter policies, it will be listed as "[Ineligible]", and no requests will be possible for the course.
