Course Overview
Intentional Touch is one of the most valuable tools a practitioner can have in their toolbox. Without touch we slowly die. Early on, in another course I created, I referenced the case of twin babies, who, when placed into separate incubators, and saved by a nurse who went against hospital rules and moved them into one incubator. The stronger of the two babies put her arm around her dying sister; the smaller baby's heart stabilized and her temperature rose to normal. (1995 article)

In 2017, while living in CA, I studied Canine Massage and cared for a quadriplegic man and his service dog. He had broken his neck in a diving accident at the age of 20 and was unable to feel most of his body. When I met him he was 36, wheelchair bound and living with his service dog. The two were inseparable. Though he was paralyzed, he had his hearing, and the use of head,, neck, shoulders, arms, and some of his fingers. I began testing the waters, treating him with Acupressure or "Shiatsu," and tuning forks, as vibration is said to go even deeper than needles. I also did treatments using his dog as a conduit: "surrogate treatments." By applying gentle pressure to specific points, such as "ashi" or trigger points, one can affect change in the flow of Qi in the human and animal body. Tuning forks are another means of applying touch with the added benefit of sound. Using these protocols with the Extraordinary Vessel points creates a potent treatment for balancing yin and yang.
Objective
  • Use acupressure and forks on yourself and your dog friends to improve the flow of Qi to balance the body mind and spirit. Learn about the eight extraordinary vessels and ways to access them through the 12 major meridians.
  • Learn how to use tuning forks instead of needles on points and around the body. Discover how the different forks and sounds can be used in pairs especially two Ohm forks.
  • A video shows how to apply acupressure and forks on yourself and your dog friends to improve the flow of Qi and balance the body mind and spirit.
  • Discover the opening and balance points or the extraordinary vessels, create infinity treatments to open pathways to the deepest energetics in the body.
  • The ears, shaped like a kidney or upside down foetus, act like a map of the whole body. Find sore ear points with an ear probe, improve the flow of Qi and use plant seeds like vaccaria to stimulate points,

    About Gina Gilbert

I grew up with a passion for learning, teaching and traveling. My mother, born and raised in Brazil, could speak seven languages. She was my inspiration for studying foreign languages. My goal was to become an interpreter in the United Nations. As it turns out, I became an enterpreter of body language, mapping and interpreting energy fields, and conduit for supporting the bodies innate ability to heal itself. I did my undergraduate studies at McGill University in Montreal, Canada. One day, sitting behind a student taking notes with his feet, I was transfixed. He was a paraplegic, sans arms: and my second inspiration. I learned to draw with my hands, feet and whole body creating mandalas on the floor. In the 80's, I visited China, Japan and Hong Kong, studying Shiatsu and Hara Diagnosis in Japan. The Japanese call the "Hara", or gut, the second brain- I actually believe that through gut reactions we receive our deepest information; and why I love animals. They are totally gut driven, intuitive beings. In 1993, before the thousand year old tradition of Acupuncture was popular in the United States, I graduated from a three year post- graduate training in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at Tri-State College of Acupuncture. I had studied the body with pioneers in the field like Moshe Feldenkrais, (Awareness Through Movement), Milton Trager. (Psychophysical Education), Jon Zahourek (Anatomy in Clay) and Frank Bender, a forensic artist . The lessons learned from this amazing young man and his dog were life changing. While, in California, I spent much time by the sea. Exposure to the environment and elements, deepened, not only my appreciation for nature, but my understanding of the Five Element paradigm used for diagnosis in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. This two thousand year old system examines the relationship between nature, humans, animals, and the five elements: Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood. Acudog Wellness goes "hand-and-paw" with the elements. I currently teach "Shiatsu"and "Tui-Na," non-invasive branches of Chinese Medicine In December of 2019, I came back East for a visit and Covid hit. I remained on the East coast, and In 2020, decided to get licensed in Maryland to practice acupuncture. I had practiced acupuncture and bodywork in Pennsylvania for over 30 years.

    *CEU/CPD Approvals

Some accreditation bodies have course approval expirations. If the approval expires, you will see a notice next to the name with a date of expiration: "[Until YYYY/MM/DD]". Please factor this date into your own renewal deadline. If an approval expires, you will be able to request that it is renewed and we will submit it for you within 2 business days. Renewals normally come back to us after 30 days. If your accreditation body is not listed under the "Approved" section, you may find it under the "Pending" section. That means that it is either currently pending approval, or that it is available for you to request: "[Upon Request]". New course approvals usually come back to us after 45 days. We use an automated system within our platform that allows you to make these requests in an easy and convenient way. Just visit the course page in your Net of Knowledge account and click the "Request Approval" button at the top. Each "Course and CEUs/CPDs" purchase grants you 1 request per accreditation body. If you request a course approval and do not complete it before its new expiration date, you will need to purchase another "CEU/CPD Add-On" to make another request. If the course is ineligible for approval with an accreditation body due to their subject-matter policies, it will be listed as "[Ineligible]", and no requests will be possible for the course.
