Nordic Naturals ProEFA: Joint Mobility and Positive Mental Outlook. ProEFA is an Omega-3 (from fish oil) and Omega-6 (from organic Borage oil) combination. Each soft gel provides EPA, DHA, and GLA, which are important for proper cell signaling and membrane flexibility. This formulation has been enhanced with organic borage oil, advanced lipid stabilizing antioxidants, added vitamin E and natural lemon oil for great taste. Two 1000mg Soft Gels contain: EPA: 270mg, DHA: 180MG, Other Omega-3s: 115mg, GLA: 66mg, OA: 160mg, Vitamin E: 30 IU.

The Nordic Naturals story began in Arctic Norway, where Nordic Naturals’ founder and CEO Joar Opheim grew up. When Joar came to California to complete his MBA, he noticed that the pure omega-rich cod liver oil that Norwegians rely on to stay healthy was nowhere to be found. Low-concentration fish oil with an awful taste was all the market had to offer, but Joar knew he could make a difference. With each trip home, he would fill an extra suitcase with bottles of his favorite fish oil to share with friends in the U.S. This deep desire to share the power of pure, fresh omega-3 nutrients inspired Joar to found Nordic Naturals back in 1995, and still drives the company today.
From Joar’s early experiences with substandard American fish oil and his conviction that better health was attainable, the company philosophy was born.
