Course 1 covers the low back and hip tests, Course 2 covers the upper extremity, and Course 3 covers the lower extremity.
In each course, Derrick McBride lectures on the proper way to perform the test and possible positive findings for each test. High definition videos of each test are used to demonstrate.Helpful tips on positioning, cueing, and other clinical tricks to ensure reliable testing conditions are emphasized. The instructor often comments on clinical relevancy and real-life applications, especially for the Acupuncturist.
Derrick McBride and Whitfield Reaves developed this course out of a need for expanded conversations on testing and assessment. Whitfield Reaves' series Mastering the Treatment of Injury and Pain covers in depth techniques for treatment of the conditions. Students should consider using these series together for a complete understanding of assessment and treatment of orthopedic conditions. Viewing these two series in sequence will greatly improve any practitioner's understanding of orthopedic conditions and improve clinical outcomes!

About Derrick McBride
Derrick McBride has over a decade of experience as a strength and conditioning coach working in sports medicine and performance facilities. After becoming a Licensed Acupuncturist, he set out to bring the worlds of movement and acupuncture together. Alongside, his private practice in Denver CO that works with many professional athletes, Derrick has worked as one of Whitfield Reaves' teaching assistants, taught at Colorado School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and presented at Sports Acupuncture Conferences. He specializes in bringing orthopedic testing, muscle testing, movement assessments, and corrective exercise programming to Acupuncturist in a systematic, digestible, and clinically effective way. Some accreditation bodies have course approval expirations. If the approval expires, you will see a notice next to the name with a date of expiration: "[Until YYYY/MM/DD]". Please factor this date into your own renewal deadline. If an approval expires, you will be able to request that it is renewed and we will submit it for you within 2 business days. Renewals normally come back to us after 30 days. If your accreditation body is not listed under the "Approved" section, you may find it under the "Pending" section. That means that it is either currently pending approval, or that it is available for you to request: "[Upon Request]". New course approvals usually come back to us after 45 days. We use an automated system within our platform that allows you to make these requests in an easy and convenient way. Just visit the course page in your Net of Knowledge account and click the "Request Approval" button at the top. Each "Course and CEUs/CPDs" purchase grants you 1 request per accreditation body. If you request a course approval and do not complete it before its new expiration date, you will need to purchase another "CEU/CPD Add-On" to make another request. If the course is ineligible for approval with an accreditation body due to their subject-matter policies, it will be listed as "[Ineligible]", and no requests will be possible for the course. Because this is a series, approvals are done on a course-by-course basis. If you see "[Partial Approval]" that means that not all courses have approval at this time. You will be able to request the remaining approvals if "[Remaining Upon Request]" is listed in the Pending section.

If you do not have a Net of Knowledge account yet, one will be created for you automatically and you will receive an email with a link to set up your password. Unlimited Access and CEUsYou will have unlimited access to this series for as long as it is on Net of Knowledge, so that you can keep reviewing and learning from it over the years. CEU requirements must be completed within 1 year from the purchase. During this time, you must view the training and complete any required documents to get your certificate. You must also print and save your certificate for your own records. Each individual course has a separate certificate of completion. There is no certificate for the entire series.
